Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has urged businesses in Wrexham to take advantage of help when applying for grants and funding.
Mr Rowlands, a keen supporter of helping businesses to develop and grow said:
It is great to see Wrexham’s Business and Investment team offering a practical workshop for those who need a bit of help when applying for funding and grants.
It is absolutely vital when you are filling in forms for any financial assistance that you complete them correctly and I am pleased to see help is available.
I would urge anyone who thinks they would benefit from the workshop to make sure they sign up and attend.
Following the success of the Shared Prosperity Fund Wrexham Business Grant scheme, the Business and Investment Team are partnering with Business Wales and are offering a beginner friendly practical workshop.
The workshop has been designed to help businesses access hands-on support to navigate the grant writing process.
Accessing funding is crucial for growth, innovation, and achieving business goals. This essentials Grant Writing Workshop will equip you with the skills and knowledge to navigate the funding landscape and craft compelling proposals, to support you in aiming at your funding target.
It will also provide practical guidance and insights into; understanding what a grant is; how to locate the right grant for you; preparing to write a grant proposal; writing a compelling grant proposal and monitoring your grant application.
The next workshop is being held at Redwither Tower, Wrexham Industrial Estate, on March 6, 2025 from 10am-1pm.

Meddai Mr Rowlands, sy'n gefnogwr brwd o helpu busnesau i ddatblygu a thyfu:
Mae'n wych gweld tîm Busnes a Buddsoddi Wrecsam yn cynnig gweithdy ymarferol i'r rhai sydd angen ychydig o help wrth ymgeisio am gyllid a grantiau.
Mae'n gwbl hanfodol pan fyddwch chi'n llenwi ffurflenni ar gyfer unrhyw gymorth ariannol eich bod chi’n eu cwblhau'n gywir ac rwy'n falch o weld bod cymorth ar gael.
Byddwn yn annog unrhyw un sy'n credu y byddent yn elwa ar y gweithdy i sicrhau eu bod yn cofrestru ac yn mynychu.
Yn dilyn llwyddiant cynllun Grant Busnes Wrecsam y Gronfa Ffyniant Gyffredin, mae'r Tîm Busnes a Buddsoddi yn gweithio mewn partneriaeth â Busnes Cymru ac yn cynnig gweithdy ymarferol sy'n addas i ddechreuwyr.
Nod y gweithdy yw helpu busnesau i gael gafael ar gymorth ymarferol i lywio'r broses ysgrifennu grantiau.
Mae cael gafael ar gyllid yn hanfodol ar gyfer twf, arloesi a chyflawni nodau busnes. Bydd y Gweithdy hanfodion Ysgrifennu Grant hwn yn rhoi'r sgiliau a'r wybodaeth i chi lywio'ch ffordd o gwmpas y tirlun cyllido a chreu cynigion cymhellol, i'ch cefnogi i gyrraedd eich targed cyllido.
Bydd hefyd yn darparu arweiniad ymarferol a dealltwriaeth i ddeall beth yw grant; sut i ddod o hyd i'r grant cywir i chi; paratoi i ysgrifennu cynnig grant; ysgrifennu cynnig grant cymhellol a monitro eich cais am grant.
