Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has expressed his delight at the continued success of Wrexham University.
Mr Rowlands was commenting after the university received a prestigious First-Class rating in the People & Planet University League.
He said:
I am always pleased to hear about the achievements of this popular university and absolutely delighted with this news.
Wrexham University continues to go from strength to strength and it is great to see it being recognised for its environmental and ethical performance and scoring 100% in two key areas.
I would like to congratulate everyone at the university for all their efforts and for helping to continue to put Wrexham firmly on the higher education map.

Mae Sam Rowlands, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Ogledd Cymru, wedi mynegi ei falchder at lwyddiant parhaus Prifysgol Wrecsam.
Roedd Mr Rowlands yn gwneud y sylwadau ar ôl i'r brifysgol dderbyn sgôr Dosbarth Cyntaf arbennig yng Nghynghrair Prifysgol People & Planet.
Meddai:
Rydw i bob amser yn falch o glywed am gyflawniadau'r brifysgol boblogaidd hon ac wrth fy modd â'r newyddion hyn.
Mae Prifysgol Wrecsam yn parhau i fynd o nerth i nerth ac mae'n wych ei gweld yn cael ei chydnabod am ei pherfformiad amgylcheddol a moesegol a’i bod yn sgorio 100% mewn dau faes allweddol.
Hoffwn longyfarch pawb yn y brifysgol am eu holl ymdrechion ac am helpu i barhau i roi Wrecsam yn gadarn ar y map addysg uwch.
