Access to high quality healthcare is vital. I have backed upgrades to local pharmacies, like the ones in Prestatyn and Conwy. They can now provide crucial health services around the clock in our communities. I supported the successful campaign to boost Welsh Government funding for children’s hospices, like Ty Gobaith in the Conwy Valley. But there is more we can do. There are major issues with our local health board, some of our services have been placed under targeted intervention arrangements, including Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. I will continue to raise these and other vital issues in the Senedd to ensure people in North Wales aren’t given a rough deal.

Mae cael mynediad at ofal iechyd o ansawdd uchel yn hanfodol. Rwyf wedi cefnogi uwchraddio fferyllfeydd lleol, fel y rhai ym Mhrestatyn a Chonwy. Nawr, gallant ddarparu gwasanaethau iechyd hanfodol ddydd a nos yn ein cymunedau. Bûm yn cefnogi’r ymgyrch lwyddiannus i gynyddu cyllid Llywodraeth Cymru ar gyfer hosbisau plant, fel Tŷ Gobaith yn Nyffryn Conwy. Ond gallwn wneud mwy. Mae problemau mawr gyda’n bwrdd iechyd lleol, mae rhai o’n gwasanaethau wedi’u rhoi dan drefniadau ymyrraeth wedi’i thargedu, gan gynnwys Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. Byddaf yn parhau i godi’r materion hyn a materion hanfodol eraill yn y Senedd i sicrhau nad yw pobl yn y Gogledd yn dioddef.
