Sam Rowlands

Sam Rowlands, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales has welcomed pupils from Rhyl, to Cardiff.

During the visit, Mr Rowlands, Shadow Minister for Local Government, spoke briefly about his role as a member of the Senedd and took questions from his visitors.

He said:

It was fantastic to welcome law students from the Rhyl campus of Llandrillo College and talk to them about what we do as members of the Welsh Parliament.

It was great to see them so enthusiastic about visiting the Senedd and they asked me some challenging and insightful questions including the issues of travelling from North to South and the poor state of the trains.

I think it is so important that our young people learn more about politics and the Welsh Parliament and I am always happy to welcome young people from colleges or schools from North Wales to visit the Senedd.

Llandrillo college, based in Rhos on Sea, is part of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, as a result of a merger between the college and Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor in 2012. It attracts higher education students from across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.

Roedd yn wych croesawu myfyrwyr y gyfraith o gampws y Rhyl Coleg Llandrillo a sgwrsio gyda nhw am yr hyn rydyn ni'n ei wneud fel Aelodau o’r Senedd.

Roedd hi’n wych eu gweld mor frwdfrydig ynghylch ymweld â'r Senedd ac fe ofynnon nhw gwestiynau heriol a chraff i mi gan gynnwys cwestiynau am y problemau o deithio o'r Gogledd i'r De a chyflwr gwael y trenau.
